1. Study Design
This study employed a quantitative, cross-sectional research design to examine relationships among second-language (L2) comprehension difficulty, academic stress, and test anxiety among early-stage Filipino university students.
2. Participants
Participants consisted of 80 first- and second-year undergraduate students enrolled in an entrepreneurship program at Polytechnic University of the Philippines, where English serves as the primary medium of instruction.
3. Measures
Data were collected using self-report instruments measuring L2 academic comprehension difficulty, perceived academic stress, and test anxiety. All instruments demonstrated acceptable to good internal consistency.
4. Analysis Overview
Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression modeling, and bootstrapped mediation analysis to examine indirect relationships among study variables.
5. Ethics Statement
Participation was voluntary, informed consent was obtained, and no identifying information was collected. All data were handled confidentially and used solely for research purposes.
